Words and waves roll out to sea
as the Riverman sings free.
What time is, or where it goes,
he never cares or ever knows.
For long time lost his lover cries
the salty wind that dries her eyes
will carry sails and cares away
his lonesome songs across the bay

!!!... i cant stop watching your gallery, please, tell me, what is exactly what makes this look like a classic painting, i know this is a very inespecific question, but im trying to do some paintings like this, i love to use my images as storytelers, but, i want them to look like "romanticism", im studing some pieces and so on, but i dont get it!, what is it technically?, contrast? composition?, greyish colors?

please KEEP painting!

Im not exactly sure. I had in mind those old travel posters from the 1940s maybe? When the world was still fully mechanical and far away destinations still romanticised beyond belief.
Possibly the colours from that era might be what you mean. Dunno. Still not really sure. :-)

Excellent piece overall. I love how it tells a story, and I like how the trees seem to turn into wild animals.

Well, that's not only beautiful, but tells a story; I can almost hear the music :) There are so many details [the animal shapes in the trees are fun to discover :D], great colours and I really like how everything fades into the distance.. it's like the song is going on and on and on..
