My friend Kerry has great taste in home decor and she always buys me great presents for christmas that I actually like!. Shirts that fit. Great music. Wonderful oddments Id never be able to find. So this could have just as easily been a Klimt style pic to go with her Art Nouveau/ dark timber/high sheen furnishings, but the delicate flow of Japanese women and cranes was much more like her style.

This is so beautiful. I am really impressed. I love how traditional it looks, but a tiny touch of modern. Wow.

:wow:Wow, you painted this on canvas?? Looks like real golden "byobu" ( folding screen ). The composition is very boldness like Korin Ogata's paintings, cranes are like from ukiyoe by Jakuchu Ito, Women are like Toyohiro Utagawa!! OMG! This is so amazing!
I'm Japanese, so I'm very happy to see "Japanese styles and stuffs" from someone who is interested in Japan and our culture. Thank you so much, Greg san!

Well coming from you Aki san, thats high praise indeed. But I mustnt take credit, afterall Ive only borrowed different elements from other traditional works. Which is why I would only do these as gifts rather than for sale.
