I had a reference pic of Terry Gilliam sitting on a pig as a boy, but he was upright and cheerful.
I think its the droop of the hair and the straightened arms that does the job of gravity.
Ive got a couple of really good old english farm yard paintgs for reference for the painted version. They look yellowed with age, like you get in those pictures in pubs. Or you know those old paintings of cricketers, or horses running and the legs are abnormally sticking straight out, front and behind like gazelles.
